A group of 18 Club members and others met up at Great Bells Farm to search for rare bees and other fauna and flora with @nikkigammans and @Buzzing Coast from Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
Despite the wind and most flowers having finished flowering, it was sunny and we still managed to find three rare carder bumblebees (Shrill, Brown-Banded and Moss), the sea aster mining bee, Colletes halophilus and its nest parasite Epeolus variegatus. Lunch was eaten while watching a large nesting aggregation of the mining bee on the sea wall!
