This year's Kent Wildlife Conference was held on the 22nd October at the University of Kent Canterbury campus. The theme of this year's conference was The Role of Biodiversity and Natural History Recording in Rebuilding Biodiversity. Presentations topics included grassland creation, Local Wildlife Site management, monitoring with camera traps and supporting deadwood beetle communities. The Club would like to thank all the speakers and attendees for their contributions.

The Kent Wildlife Conference, now in its twentieth year, was created as a way for field naturalists to meet, learn about and discuss the county’s wild plant and animal species, conservation and new ways of recording.

The Conference will be held on SATURDAY 12th NOVEMBER 2022 in the Grimond Lecture Theatre 2 at the University of Kent’s Canterbury Campus.

On the 28th October, 81 attendees were welcomed by the University of Kent at their Canterbury campus for the annual Kent Wildlife Conference, held jointly by Kent Field Club and the Kent and Medway Biological Records Centre (https://www.kmbrc.org.uk/https://www.kmbrc.org.uk/). The presentations ranged from the level of microbes up to entire landscapes, and from methods of recording biodiversity to habitat management by local communities.
