Saturday 15th August, 10.30am Forge Field, Leeds Castle Estate, for invertebrates and general interest.
A second visit to this 4ha site, which was regularly used as a dirt-bike track until very recently, leaving much bare and disturbed ground on sandy soils. Potentially a very good site for invertebrates, and being considered for designation as a Local Wildlife Site - a process that will be informed by the data we are able to gather.
Meet and park on the site, through the gateway on Ashford Road ME17 1PG, TQ 84366 53246, W3W renders.innovate.hairspray. If you arrive early, and the gate isn't open, there is parking nearby on the roadside on Chegworth Road.
Leader: Richard Moyse.
