Brenchley & Cinderhill Woods for botany and general interest. Joint meeting with KBRG. Meet at 10.00 a.m. at TQ 6509 4245 in a small parking area in woodland, postcode TN12 7EE. From Matfield, turn off the B2160 Maidstone Road at Chestnut Lane. In approx. 500 metres at the five-went-way, turn down a tarmac track marked ‘Nature Conservation Area’. Bear left at the fork in this track, past a caravan site on your left, and continue for approximately 200m to small car-park.

Barham Downs near Ileden for general recording on a downland restoration site. Meet and park on farm track at TR20695192. Note: exit point is off eastbound A2 carriageway on an unsigned farm drive exit at TR20315180 called Ileden Lane (take extra care you need to indicate well in advance as there is no slip road). Seasalter RSPB Reserve for invertebrates and general recording of grazing marsh habitats including cattle grazed dry grassland, ditches and lagoons (he aware that there may be cattle present). Meet at TR07456496 with parking on the edge of the Faversham Road. The parking here is limited, so it may be necessary to park in the car park along the sea wall (£3 all day). Mote Park, Maidstone for general recording in mature parkland with many veteran trees, rough grassland and river and lake habitats. Meet at Main car park off of Mote Avenue ME157SU (there is a £2 parking charge). Leader: Sue Skipp
Cliffe Pools RSPB for invertebrates and general recording. Meet at the RSPB car park at TQ723760. The intention is to survey the interior of the western end of the reserve, including the created sand flat habitat. However whether we drive through the reserve to the western end will be dependent on the condition of the track. Moth morning at Downe House. Meet and parking at Down House Car Park TQ43184 61104. Set up around 7:30pm on the Saturday and to meet at 6am to explore what is in the traps; Leaders: David Newman / Bob Harrop. Contact either of the leaders beforehand as security need to know who is attending and there will be a need to be off the property well before it opens to the general public.
Beginners to a particular field of study are very welcome at all meetings. Also anyone thinking of joining the Club is welcome to attend a field meeting, no prior notice is necessary. Kent Field Club field visits and indoor winter meetings are free to members (except the annual Wildlife Conference)
