Nemo Down reserve near Dover, whereKWT is working to restore the species-rich chalk grassland, is part of the Historic Dover Downlands Living Landscape.  This meeting will be an opportunity to learn and assist with monitoring efforts through a structured survey of chalk indicator species. We will aim to map the richness and distribution of species across the site to provide a baseline to assess future improvement on the site.

Meet at TR294420, parking on the roadside where Poulton Close meets Coombe Road, Dover, CT17 0HL.

A rare opportuntiy to visit this private site, Monks Wall Nature Reserve, Sandwich is a grazing marsh site currently closed to public access where all records are wanted.

Meet at TR326595 in small parking area beyond a metal gate, just off Monks Way, the road to Sandwich Discovery Park (old Pfizer site).

From St Dunstans Street turn right into Lindon Grove (narrow entrance opposite the Bishop's Finger pub), take second right (Whitehall Bridge Rd) and then first left (Whitehall Road) follow the road under the Rhiems way and the car park is on the left

Mopesden wood near Hawkhurst, for bryophytes and general recording in this gill woodland with sandstone rocks. 

Meet at TQ745306 in the car park of Hawkhurst Community Hospital, entrance off the north side of A268.

NB. It is about a kilometres walk to the woodland from the meeting point.

White Chimney wood near Benenden for joint meeting with Kent Botanical Recording Group.  An early meeting to record woodland ferns in this Local Wildlife Site on Tunbridge Wells sand with a deep gill.

Meet at 10.00 am at TQ7830 3227 where we have kind permission for parking by a cottage on a gravelled parking area along the private drive to Great Nineveh. Limited parking, please car share where possible. Leaders: Stephen Lemon (07771 760079) & Sue Buckingham (07971 230840).
